When we picked the location for Our Wedding, we knew the logistics of getting everyone we love our to Tahoe would be difficult. So we came up with the plan to have a Post Wedding Celebration on the East coast to allow us to celebrate our love with the people who are important to us.
For the past few months, my mom has been diligently working on all of the arrangements and decorations for this celebration. She found a great venue, figured out some awesome catering options and of course, ordered my Publix cake!

We picked April 1st for the celebration because it was the start of my Spring Break and the end of my nieces'. It was a good overlap so that everyone could attend. It also turned out to be Easter and April Fool's Day.
Ryan and I flew in the day before and we were able to have an early Easter dinner with the family as we talked logistics and strategy for the big event.

The day of, we had several super helping hands, as my dad went to pick up the catered food we had Curt and Mark meticuluosly arranging the tables and Aunt Ma and Lorraine working magic in the kitchen. We are so thankful to those Italian Kitchen Queens, who have fully admitted that they are the new Dottie and Rosie whirlwind of kitchen expertise.

Ryan and I were lucky enoug to have family come down from New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. We had friends come to this party from all over Florida. We would like to give a special shout out to Ryan's best friend, Pops, who made it to both of our events! Ryan and I are honored and grateful for everyone who made the trip (near and far) and even though we know that people who could not make it were sad to miss out, we fully understand and still appreciate their love and support. They were missed.

We were able to incorporate several of the pieces we used in our original wedding in this celebration and added a few new special touches. Our party favors were beautiful succulant plants that my mom decorated and so thoughtfully wrapped for easy transportation back to everyone's homes. Our hope that everyone enjoys a little piece of nature as much as Ryan and I do!

The kids got to bond and play while the grown-ups chatted and ate, drank and were merry. It was nice (yet strange) to no longer be at the "Kid's Table."

It was great to have family and friends all together in one place. Too often we only all get together for sad events, it was nice to have everyone together for a happy one.

One thing I always hear people say about their own weddings is that they didn't have enough time to see everyone and talk to everyone. Even with two wedding celebrations, I also feel this way. I thought I had more time to chat with friends and catch up with family. But there is never enough time. I guess that just means we need to make our rounds again and visit everyone in their happy lives.
Thank you all for being a part of our happy life.
