This was a year of great adventures. We traveled North, East, South and Pacific North West. We both moved our job locations while still both staying with the same jobs. We celebrated our love and the love our friends. We visited family and we had awesome visitors come see us. It was a really good year. For 2019, we set a goal for ourselves to complete a project called One Second a Day. We took a video each day and edited it down to a second snapshot of the day. WE DID IT!!! At the end of each month we compiled the days and now, at the end of the year, we complied all of the months. Here is the video one one second each day for 365 days in the life of the Paines.
Here is a little more detail about each month.
January:
We started the year out pretty slow. We had several days of rain and storms but managed to get in a few local hikes. We baked a lot and redecorated our bedroom. (Part of San Francisco life is knowing that you cannot hang anything heavy or potentially deadly over your bed, for fear of earthquakes)

February:
In February, we had some beautiful weather, bought our new electric bikes and celebrated Valentine's Day. Danni spent 4 days in Oakland being trained to be a Crisis Intervention Prevention trainer.

March:
March was Ryan's birthmonth! We celebrated with dinner at one of his favorite resturants (The Iron Gate), we had a fun bike ride along the Bay and we celebrated his birthday with the best way to celebrate your 39th with a SuperHero Birthday party!

April:
Spring Break!!! We camped at one of the most amazing spots along the
coast
and then spent time in
Yosemite
.

May:
In May, we said good-bye to Buzz (the electric Fiat) and hello to Chad (the BMW). We took a quick road trip North along the coast to stretch his legs and then we had an awesome visit from Mike and Jenny. When a surprise Memorial Day snowstorm closed Sequoia National Park we had to rearrange our camping plans and ended up having an amazing weekend in Monterrey.

June:
We made a quick trip down to San Diego to celebrate Ryan's parent's house warming party with the brothers. We had a quick but great visit from Katie, Craig and Adam. I wrapped up the school year and moved from one classroom to another (yay bathroom!) and Ryan got his tiny little computer monitor.

July:
July is always our time for our epic trips! We spent this year's anniversary exploring the
Canadian Rockies in Banff, Jasper and Yoho National Parks
. At the end of the month, I was able to take a whirlwind trip back east. I started in Philly with the Wachowskis, took the train down to DC for some reminiscing with great friends and great food. I got to take Miranda to go see The Lion King and then flew down to Florida for some quality time with my parents and the added bonus of spending time with my Forever Friends.

August:
August started out great! I flew up to Portland, OR to cheer on Mattie in the Zones Swim Meet and got to hang out with Tasman at the Rose Garden and explore some of Portland with the family. Then, August got a little rough. We went back to school and Ryan started working on the big office move. It was a sweaty and exhausting month.

September:
My Birthmonth was busy! Ryan finished the move to the Oyster Point office with amazing Bay views. Danni taught her first full CPI training and then we got to fly down to San Diego for Jason and Chelsea's beautiful wedding. Ryan was honored to be the officiant for his best friend's special day. We both love the Rios' very much! It was a fantastic weekend during a great month.

October:
October Break
is one of our favorite trips each year. We spent this year in Washington State, exploring the waterfalls, lakes and beautiful Pacific coast of Olympic National Park and Mt. Rainier. When we got back from Washington, we had a great visit from Scott and his German friends. Then and even quicker visit from Kara and Jean. Then, we traveled to Napa with our friends Weston and Yoshi to help witness and celebrate their special engagement day.

November:
In November, we finally decided on a new couch (from Macy's) We hosted Friendsgiving and then took a quick roadtrip North for Thanksgiving. We planned to drive all the way up to Oregon, however, a logging truck overturned just south of Eureka and so we ended up getting stuck in a tiny town called Klamath, CA. We spent Thanksgiving night at a dive bar with several travelers trying to get north for the holiday. Everyone seemed to make the best of it and for us, it was still a very pleasant way to spend Thanksgiving.
When we got home from our road trip we sold Woody (our Teardrop). He had been a wonderful member of our family and we had several great trips with him. But, with our future plans to build a camper van...we decided to sell Woodrow to a lovely lady who will enjoy many more adventures with Woody the Teardrop. (Ps: stay tuned for my upcoming children's book series about his journeys)

December:
We traveled to the frozen North for Ryan's company Holiday Party. We hosted our own "Cookies and Cocktail" party and then ventured east to spend Christmas day in Nashville, TN listening to music and enjoying some great whiskeys. Then we went even more east to the Smokey Mountains with the whole Lupo family where we rented a beautiful big house and spent time exploring the National Park and playing billiards and board games in the mountains.

2020 is going to be another adventure filled year! We are looking forward to what is to come and excited that we get to explore it together.
